Prior to managing America's largest township, Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray served in the New York State Assembly, overseeing the state's criminal legislation as a member of the Codes Committee. Indeed, Kate Murray supported Megan’s Law and the Assault Weapons Ban. Further, she gained a solid knowledge of our criminal justice system as an Assistant New York Attorney General. And, Ms. Murray was an advocate for domestic violence victims. Kate Murray realizes the importance of having a District Attorney who can work collaboratively with the police to bring about thorough investigations and the competent prosecution of criminals. Indeed, Ms. Murray has earned the endorsement of all three Nassau countywide police unions, the PBA, DAI and SOA, as well as several other law enforcement unions. |
